On July 21, GC Central Asia with support of the OSCE Academy, Global Campus of Human Rights and Right Livelihood Foundation organized a vibrant workshop dedicated to Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child — the right to rest, play, cultural life, and the arts. Held at Orion Hotel, the event created a safe and inspiring space for children to express themselves and learn about their rights.
The day began with an art therapy session led by Kristina Kareeva, Specialist in Art Therapy. Children drew their favorite animals and explored questions like: What animal is it? What does it like? Does it have friends or enemies? What does it need?
Next, Nazgul Kadyrova, BA Program Specialist, led a reflective book club session titled “Let’s Talk About What We Read: Lessons, Conclusions, Emotions.”
The workshop concluded with a session by Karlygach Nurmanbetova, MAHRS Program Specialist, focusing on Article 31 of the UN CRC, helping children better understand their right to rest, leisure, play, and participation in cultural life.
Workshop was an opportunity to explore emotions, talent, and celebrate children’s rights in action!
