On May 27, 2026, Dr. Anja Mihr, GCCA Academic Director, received the International Human Rights Education in Higher Education Award for 2023 at the IAHRE conference in Münster, Germany.  

She received the award, among others, for founding the regional MA Program in Human Rights and Sustainability in Central Asia (MAHRS) in 2023 at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.
