On 24 September, Kamila Saidova, a student of the MAHRS programme 2026–2028, participated in the Open Door Day hosted by the Delegation of the European Union to the Kyrgyz Republic. Representing the Youth Sounding Board Uzbekistan, Kamila joined discussions alongside the Ambassador of the European Union to explore strategic partnerships and future regional cooperation.

The meeting began with a presentation by a political affairs speaker, who outlined the key areas of the European Union’s Global Gateway strategy, including digital transformation, critical mineral resources, the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor, and climate change adaptation.

In the context of bilateral cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic, it was noted that, at the current stage, practical cooperation is primarily focused on digitalisation and water resource management. The speaker emphasised the successful progress of joint initiatives and indicated the possibility of increased budgetary funding in the future, provided that the current projects continue to demonstrate sustainable positive results.

Particular emphasis was placed on the fact that further deepening of the partnership and identification of common areas for development are being pursued strictly within the framework of the mutual priorities of Kyrgyzstan.
