Workshop on Children’s Rights in Chym-Korgon

On 30 May 2025, a workshop dedicated to International Children’s Day was held with the support of the Global Campus of Human Rights and the Right Livelihood Foundation at the Abdykayir Kazakbayev Secondary School in Chym-Korgon village. The event was facilitated by Ms. Nazgul Kadyrova, BA Programme Specialist and lead facilitator of the Children’s Book Club at the OSCE Academy, and Ms. Kulsun Kulmatova, a Youth Advisory Group (YAG) member of the Global Campus Central Asia’s Children’s Rights direction.

The workshop focused on raising awareness about children’s rights in Central Asia and featured the following sessions:
1. A presentation on “Introduction to Children’s Rights in Central Asia”;
2. An overview of the Children’s Book Club initiative;
3. A personal story shared by Ms. Kulsun Kulmatova about her “Trip to Italy” experience through the Global Campus initiative.

The session was attended by 23 students and their teacher, who actively participated and expressed great interest in the discussed topics.
